Selection Process – KEA KSRP Police Constable Recruitment 2026

  1. Written Examination: An offline, OMR-based objective test covering General Studies and Mental Ability, consisting of 100 questions worth 100 marks, to be completed in 1 hour 30 minutes.
  2. Physical Standard Test (PST): Candidates are shortlisted in a 1:5 ratio per category/post based on written exam marks and undergo measurement of height, chest, and weight against prescribed standards.
  3. Physical Endurance Test (PET): A qualifying-only stage (no marks awarded) involving a timed run, long jump, and shot put, which candidates must clear as per prescribed standards.
  4. Medical Examination: Conducted by a Medical Board covering vision, hearing, chest X-ray, and other fitness parameters.
  5. Final Merit List: Prepared strictly on the basis of written exam marks of candidates who successfully clear the PST, PET, and medical examination.

Negative Marking

A deduction of 0.25 marks applies for every wrong answer in the written examination. Marking more than one answer for a question, or an answer that is overwritten/erased such that it remains legible on the OMR sheet, is also treated as a wrong answer and attracts the same deduction; illegible erasures result in no deduction for that question.
