Selection Process
- Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of a system-generated merit list.
- The merit list will be prepared based on marks obtained in the Secondary School Examination (10th standard), converted into percentage up to 4 decimal places.
- For candidates whose marks are provided in grades/points only, subject-wise marks will be calculated by applying a multiplication factor of 9.5.
- Where Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) is mentioned, marks will be calculated by multiplying the CGPA by 9.5.
Tie-Breaking Criteria
In case of a tie in merit, preference will be given in the following order:
- Date of Birth (older candidate first)
- Category-wise priority in the following sequence:
ST Transgender → ST Female → SC Transgender → SC Female → OBC Transgender → OBC Female → EWS Transgender → EWS Female → UR Transgender → UR Female, and so on as per India Post rules. - Shortlisted candidates will be informed through SMS and email on their registered mobile number and email ID.
- Physical verification of documents will be conducted by the Divisional/Unit Head of the respective Division or Unit.
- After successful verification, a system-generated provisional engagement offer will be issued immediately.
- Candidates must complete all pre-engagement formalities within 30 days from the date of provisional offer, including mandatory 3-day basic training and arrangement of accommodation (for BPM posts).
- The final order of engagement will be issued only after receiving verification reports from issuing authorities and antecedent verification from Police Authorities.
