Eligibility Criteria – Indian Oil IOCL Apprentices Recruitment 2026

Candidates applying for IOCL Apprentices Recruitment 2026 must meet the following qualification requirements for each discipline:

Technician Apprentice (Diploma Holders)

• Disc Code 101 – Mechanical: 3-year full-time Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 50% marks (Gen/EWS/OBC-NCL) or 45% marks (SC/ST/PwBD) from a recognised institute/university.
• Disc Code 102 – Electrical: 3-year full-time Diploma in Electrical Engineering with 50% / 45% marks (as per category).
• Disc Code 103 – Instrumentation: 3-year full-time Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering with 50% / 45% marks (as per category).
• Disc Code 104 – Civil: 3-year full-time Diploma in Civil Engineering with 50% / 45% marks (as per category).
• Disc Code 105 – Electrical & Electronics: 3-year full-time Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering with 50% / 45% marks (as per category).

• Disc Code 106 – Electronics: 3-year full-time Diploma in Electronics Engineering with 50% / 45% marks (as per category).

Trade Apprentice (ITI Holders)

• Disc Code 107 – Fitter: Metric (10th) with full-time 2-year ITI in Fitter recognised by NCVT/SCVT.
• Disc Code 108 – Electrician: Metric with 2-year ITI in Electrician recognised by NCVT/SCVT.
• Disc Code 109 – Electronics Mechanic: Metric with 2-year ITI in Electronics Mechanic recognised by NCVT/SCVT.
• Disc Code 110 – Instrument Mechanic: Metric with 2-year ITI in Instrument Mechanic recognised by NCVT/SCVT.

• Disc Code 111 – Machinist: Metric with 2-year ITI in Machinist recognised by NCVT/SCVT.

Graduate Apprentice

• Disc Code 112 – BA/B.Com/B.Sc/BBA: Full-time graduation in any discipline with minimum 50% marks (Gen/EWS/OBC-NCL) or 45% marks (SC/ST/PwBD) from a recognised university.

Trade Apprentice – Data Entry Operator

• Disc Code 113 – DEO (Fresher): Class 12th pass (below graduate) with 50% / 45% marks depending on category.
• Disc Code 114 – DEO (Skill Certificate Holders): Class 12th pass plus Domestic Data Entry Operator skill certificate issued by an NSQF-recognised or Central Government recognised authority.

Additional Eligibility Conditions

• Qualification must be obtained through a full-time regular course from a recognised institute or university.
• Part-time, correspondence, or distance learning qualifications are not eligible.
• For Graduate and Technician Apprentices, qualification must be completed between 01 April 2022 and 28 February 2026.
• For Trade Apprentices (ITI/Data Entry Operator), qualification must be completed between 01 April 2021 and 28 February 2026.
• Candidates with higher qualifications such as B.E./B.Tech., MBA, MCA, CA, ICWA, LLB, or equivalent are not eligible.
• Diploma holders admitted through lateral entry (direct 2nd year) are eligible if they meet the required percentage criteria.
• A candidate may undergo a maximum of two apprenticeship training’s, but the second training must be in a different trade.

General Information / Instructions – Indian Oil IOCL Apprentices Recruitment 2026

• Candidates must apply for only ONE discipline code. Applications submitted for more than one discipline code will be rejected.
• Applicants should apply only for vacancies under the Western Region states: Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, UT of Daman & Diu, and UT of Dadra & Nagar Haveli. Selecting training locations outside these states will lead to application rejection.
• The candidate profile on the portal must be fully completed (Personal Details, Educational Qualification, Category, etc.) before submitting the application.
• The candidature will remain provisional and subject to verification of original certificates and documents at later stages.
• Providing false or incorrect information at any stage will result in cancellation of candidature and may lead to legal action.
• Candidates must maintain the same registered email ID and mobile number until the completion of the apprenticeship training.
• SC/ST/OBC (NCL) candidates applying for Unreserved (UR) vacancies will be considered only if they meet the eligibility standards applicable to General category candidates.
• PwBD candidates are not eligible to apply for Discipline Codes 101 to 111.
• Reservation of seats will be applicable as per the prescribed percentage for the respective States/UTs.
• The number of seats is tentative and may increase or decrease at the discretion of the management.
• After completion of the apprenticeship training, IOCL is not obligated to offer employment, and apprentices cannot claim a right to permanent employment.
• A minimum gap of one year is required between two apprenticeship training’s if a candidate has already completed one.

• OBC-NCL candidates must submit a latest caste certificate issued within 12 months from 28 February 2026 in the format prescribed by the Government of India.

• Canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification of the candidate.
