Age Relaxation: Relaxation in the upper age limit is available to reserved category candidates, including PwBD, as per Government of India guidelines. Candidates seeking age relaxation must submit the necessary certificates at the time of document verification; no change of category is permitted after online registration.

Experience Requirement: For all posts, candidates must possess the required qualification and full-time, post-qualification experience as on the cut-off date. Experience certificates from the employer must specifically state that the candidate worked in the required field; where a degree/diploma does not mention the specialization, a supporting certificate from the university/college is required.

Post-wise Eligibility

Dean, SBIL Kolkata

MBA/Executive MBA/PGDM/PGDBA or equivalent in any discipline (minimum 55% marks), OR Ph.D./M.Phil. from an Indian university or Indian/international B-school. Minimum 15 years’ post-qualification experience, including at least 3 years as Dean/Deputy Dean/Principal/Director/Deputy Director/Joint Director/Head/Centre Head/Chief Learning Officer/Senior VP/VP or equivalent in a Bank’s training institute, university, business school, corporate learning academy, public sector training institution, or other educational institution.

Faculty, SBIL Kolkata

Postgraduate in any discipline (minimum 55% marks); a completed Ph.D./M.Phil. is an additional qualification. Minimum 6 years’ teaching experience as Faculty/Professor/Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Corporate Trainer or equivalent in a similar institution as above.

For both Dean and Faculty, preference is given to candidates holding an MBA/Ph.D./M.Phil. in Banking & Finance and/or with teaching experience in Executive Education, and to those with proven Corporate Leadership experience.

Marketing Executive, SBIL Kolkata

MBA or equivalent in Marketing (minimum 55% marks). Minimum 5 years’ experience in marketing, of which at least 3 years must be in marketing Executive Education/Management Institutes/Universities/Training Organizations/EdTech Organizations. Preference is given to candidates with experience in branding, international partnerships, programme portfolio generation, and revenue generation.

Deputy Vice President (IT Risk)

BE/B.Tech (Computer Science/Electronics & Communications/IT/Cybersecurity), minimum 50% marks, OR MCA/M.Sc. (Computer Science/IT), minimum 50%, OR M.Tech (Computer Science/Cyber Security/Information Security), minimum 50%. A valid CISSP, CRISC, CISM or CISA certification is preferred. Minimum 12 years in the IT domain, with at least 6 years in IT risk management or information security preferable.

Assistant Vice President (IT Risk)

Same educational qualification as above. Minimum 9 years in the IT domain, with at least 5 years in IT risk management or information security preferable.

Note: Teaching/training experience is not counted toward eligibility for the two IT Risk posts. A candidate cannot apply for both Deputy VP (IT Risk) and AVP (IT Risk) – only the last valid application is retained, and the fee paid on the other registration is forfeited.

The annual CTC is negotiable and depends on the candidate’s experience, current emoluments and place of posting. It is bifurcated into Fixed Pay and Variable Pay in an 80:20 ratio and includes an option for accommodation (and a vehicle, for SBIL posts) – where availed, a notional amount is deducted from the CTC. Variable pay is subject to a minimum qualifying score in the half-yearly performance appraisal (90% or more for full variable pay eligibility under Advt No. 20). From the second year onward, the annual increment can be up to 10% of the finalized CTC (Advt No. 20) or up to 7% (Advt No. 22), subject to a minimum performance appraisal score of 90%.

Contract Terms: Engagement is for 3 years, extendable up to 2 further years at the Bank’s discretion (total engagement not exceeding 5 years). Either side can terminate the contract by giving 3 months’ notice, or by payment/surrender of 3 months’ compensation in lieu. Officers engaged under Advt No. 20 are entitled to 30 days’ leave per financial year, granted for genuine and appropriate reasons.

Selection Process
  • Dean and Faculty (Advt No. 20): Shortlisting, followed by an Interview combined with a Demo Session, carrying 100 marks. The qualifying marks are decided by the Bank.
  • Marketing Executive (Advt No. 20) and both IT Risk posts (Advt No. 22): Shortlisting, followed by an Interview.
  • Shortlisting: Conducted by a committee constituted by the Bank; merely meeting the minimum qualification and experience does not entitle a candidate to an interview call. The Bank’s decision is final.
  • Merit List: Prepared in descending order based on interview marks only. In case of a tie at the cut-off, the older candidate is ranked higher.
  • CTC Negotiation: Conducted with candidates in order of merit, one by one. A candidate who does not agree to the negotiated CTC is treated as a Voluntary Exit, and the next candidate on the merit list is called.
  • Final Selection: The top-most candidates in the merit list with whom CTC negotiation is successful are finally selected. Shortlisting is provisional; candidature remains subject to verification of original documents at the time of interview.

  2. Keep a scanned copy of your latest photograph and signature ready in the specified format – the application will not register without these uploads.
  3. Fill in the application form carefully. Partially completed information can be saved; a provisional registration number and password will be generated, and the saved application can be edited up to three times.
