IAF Agniveervayu Sports Recruitment 2026 – Eligibility Criteria
The Indian Air Force has announced the eligibility conditions for IAF Agniveervayu Sports Recruitment 2026 – Intake 02/2026 under the Agnipath Scheme. Candidates must fulfil the following requirements:
1. Age Limit
- Date of Birth: Candidates must be born between 02 July 2005 and 02 January 2009 (both dates inclusive).
- Upper Age at Enrolment: Maximum 21 years on the date of enrolment for candidates who clear all selection stages.
2. Marital Status
- Only unmarried male candidates are eligible to apply.
- Candidates must provide an undertaking that they will not marry during the four-year engagement period.
- Marriage during the engagement period will lead to immediate discharge from service.
3. Educational Qualification
Science Subjects (Any One)
- 10+2 / Intermediate with Mathematics, Physics, and English from a recognised board with minimum 50% aggregate marks and 50% in English, OR
- 3-year Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Automobile / Computer Science / Instrumentation Technology / IT) with 50% aggregate marks and 50% in English either in Diploma or in 10+2/Matrix, OR

2-year Vocational Course with non-vocational subjects Physics and Mathematics, with 50% aggregate marks and 50% in English in Vocational or in 10+2/Metric.
Other than Science Subjects (Any One)
- 10+2 / Intermediate in any stream with minimum 50% aggregate marks and 50% in English, OR

2-year Vocational Course with 50% aggregate marks and 50% in English in Vocational or in 10+2/Metric.
4. Sports Achievements
Candidates must meet any one of the following criteria
- Represented India in Junior/Senior International competitions recognised by IOC/IOA in the notified sports disciplines, OR
- Secured minimum 5th position in Junior Nationals, Senior Nationals, All India Inter-University, or Khelo India Nationals, OR

Represented State/UT in National / All India Inter-University / Khelo India competitions in team events.
Special Conditions
Additional eligibility requirements apply for Cricket, Shooting, and Chess, such as BCCI-recognised tournaments, NSCC rankings, or FIDE rating of 2150 or above.
5. Medical & Physical Standards
- Minimum Height: 152 cm
- Chest: 77 cm with minimum 5 cm expansion
- Physical Fitness Test (PFT):
- 1.6 km run in 7 minutes
- 10 push-ups
- 10 sit-ups
- 20 squats within the prescribed time
- Vision Standard: 6/12 in each eye, correctable to 6/6 with specified refractive limits.
