GATE 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2026 must have completed or be appearing in a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Technology / Architecture or a Master’s degree in a relevant science subject. There is no age limit to apply for GATE 2026. Applicants from India as well as foreign nationals are eligible, subject to the conditions mentioned in the official notification. Educational Qualification
- Candidates must have passed or be appearing in B.E./ B.Tech/ B.Pharma/ B.Arch/ B.Sc. (Research)/ M.Sc./ M.A./ MCA/ M.E./ M.Tech/ Dual Degree or Integrated courses from a recognized institution.
- Candidates must be in the 3rd year or above of their undergraduate program or have completed a recognized undergraduate degree.
- Qualifying degrees for GATE 2026 include Bachelor’s degrees in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, or Science, as well as Master’s degrees in Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Computer Applications. Candidates with five-year integrated Master’s or dual degree programs in Engineering/Technology and those holding recognized professional society qualifications are also eligible.

- Both Indian citizens and eligible international candidates can apply.
- There is no age limit or restriction on the number of attempts for the GATE exam.
